Our service terms, conditions, and agreement

Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you (the "Customer") and AntennaBuddy ABN 12 002 295 721 ("we", "us", "our", "AntennaBuddy") for the provision of TV antenna installation, repairs, home theatre setup, data cabling, and related services.

By engaging our services, requesting a quote, or making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not proceed with engaging our services.

Services Provided

We provide the following services throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas:

  • TV antenna installation and repairs
  • TV wall mounting and bracket installation
  • Extra TV points and coaxial cabling
  • Signal boosters and amplifiers
  • Home theatre and surround sound installation
  • Starlink satellite internet installation
  • Data cabling and structured networking
  • Commercial antenna systems (MATV)
  • New build pre-wiring and AV infrastructure

All services are subject to these Terms and any additional terms specified in quotes or service agreements.

Quotes and Pricing

Quote Validity

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Quotes may be subject to change if site conditions differ from the initial assessment or if additional work is required beyond the original scope.

Pricing

We provide upfront, transparent pricing for all services. Quoted fees include:

  • Labor and technician expertise
  • All necessary materials and equipment
  • Travel within our standard service area
  • GST (Goods and Services Tax)

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Work outside standard business hours
  • Difficult or hazardous access conditions
  • Additional work requested beyond the original scope
  • Premium or specialized equipment not included in the original quote

We will always obtain your approval before proceeding with any additional work that incurs extra charges.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer/EFT
  • Credit/Debit card
  • Invoice payment (for approved commercial accounts)

Deposits

For larger projects or commercial installations, we may require a deposit before commencing work. Deposit amounts will be specified in the quote or service agreement.

Late Payment

For invoice payments, payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur interest charges at the rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

Warranties and Guarantees

Equipment Warranty

Australian-made TV antennas installed by us come with an industry-leading 25-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Other equipment carries manufacturer warranties ranging from 1 to 10 years depending on the product.

Workmanship Warranty

We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from the date of installation. This covers defects in installation, faulty connections, or other issues resulting from our work.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage from severe weather events (storms, lightning strikes)
  • Accidental damage or misuse
  • Modifications or repairs by unauthorized persons
  • Normal wear and tear over time
  • Damage from external sources beyond our control

Warranty claims must be reported promptly. We will assess warranty claims and provide remedial work or replacement at no charge for valid claims.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customer Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours notice at no charge. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover costs incurred.

Our Right to Reschedule

We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to:

  • Adverse weather conditions affecting safety
  • Technician illness or emergency
  • Equipment or material unavailability
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We will provide as much notice as possible and work with you to find an alternative time.

Liability and Insurance

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and workers compensation insurance as required by law.

Our Liability

Our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to:

  • The cost of re-performing the services; or
  • Refunding the fees paid for the services

Exclusions

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for:

  • Consequential or indirect losses
  • Loss of profit or revenue
  • Damage to existing equipment or property unless caused by our negligence
  • Delays or failures beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, warranty, term, or condition implied by law (including the Australian Consumer Law) which cannot be lawfully excluded.

Customer Responsibilities

To enable us to provide services effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide safe, clear access to work areas
  • Secure or remove valuable items from work areas
  • Disclose any known hazards or site-specific safety concerns
  • Provide accurate information about property ownership and permissions
  • Obtain necessary approvals from landlords, body corporate, or councils
  • Provide access to power and water if required

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays, additional charges, or our inability to complete the work.

Intellectual Property

All designs, plans, specifications, and documentation created by us remain our intellectual property unless specifically assigned to you in writing. You may use these materials solely for the purposes of the services we provide.

Dispute Resolution

If you have any concerns or disputes regarding our services, please contact us immediately so we can work to resolve the issue.

We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently through:

  1. Direct communication and negotiation
  2. Mediation if necessary
  3. Formal legal proceedings as a last resort

General Terms

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Amendment

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of amended Terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any quotes or service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the services provided.
